Milnsbridge Cushion - Applique Squares - Mustard

£95.00

These cushions are made from our Milnsbridge cloth which we weave locally from yarns that we source from Yorkshire based mills and merchants. The yarns are mostly remnants from large commercial orders and as such can be very odd, small quantities. These are very difficult to use on a commercial scale, but perfect for small makers like our-selves.

Read more about the making of our Milnsbridge cloth here.

Using applique techniques we sew squares of Milnsbridge cloth to create a repeating pattern across the front of the cushion. We also hand tuft the edges to create a tactile surface with a bold, graphic aesthetic.

The cushion has a simple fold back which conceals the inner pad. The inner pads we use have a cotton cover, are filled with 100% British wool filling and are made locally to us in West Yorkshire.

If you like the look of one of Milnsbridge cushions but can’t find your favourite colours, drop us an email as we often have more cloth available in the studio and work to commission.

Please note these cushions are made to order, please allow up to 14 days for delivery.

Caring for your cushion –

We have found a steamy iron on a wool setting removes any creases with ease and gives the blankets a little refresh if needed.

If your cushion cover requires washing, we would recommend a gentle hand wash with some wool friendly soap in luke-warm water. Gently squeeze out any excess water, don’t ring or twist the fabric as this could damage the yarns. Leave to air dry flat on a towel and once dry give the cover a light pressing with a steamy iron on a wool setting.
