Yorkshire Textiles

Following time spent travelling across the world sourcing fabrics for some of the UK biggest clothing retailers, I had a real desire to return home to find and work with local mills based in Yorkshire.

Thankfully there are still a lot of textile mills producing amazing cloth right on our doorstep. With this and inspiration from the women in our family who had spent their lives working in the rag trade in Ossett, West Yorkshire, our own story began with Rag Makers.

Our next adventure

I’ve always loved the new school year energy of September and you’ll find me starting the Autumn market season at the Hepworth’s Harvest festival in the lovely Tileyard North venue.

This will be the their third Harvest Festival and I’m thrilled to be taking part, with over 70 artisan makers selling food and drink, blankets, books, candles, ceramics, home and kitchenware, plants, prints, textiles, vintage items and seasonal produce.

Set amongst the stunning gardens and galleries, it’s going to be a lovely celebration of the season and I can’t wait.

The show is open Saturday 19th – Sunday 20th September from 10am – 5pm
