Milnsbridge Hot Water Bottle and cover - 100% Wool - Teal/Yellow

£40.00

Made using the same super cosy cloth as our blankets, these 100% woollen hot water bottle covers provide the perfect warm and cosy companion on chilly evenings.

Our blankets are made from a 100% wool version of our Milnsbridge cloth which is woven locally from yarns that we source from Yorkshire based mills and merchants. The yarns are mostly left overs from large commercial orders and as such can be very odd, small quantities. These are very difficult to use on a commercial scale, but perfect for small makers like our-selves.

The cover has a hand-bound loop detail to the front and a simple fold opening on the back that allows easy access to the bottle without removing the cover. This cover comes with a 100% natural rubber hot water bottle. The rubber is derived from raw latex tapped from the rubber tree. The bottles are moulded in one piece and ribbed on both sides allowing the heat to be released slowly.

Caring for your hot water bottle -

We have found a steamy iron on a wool setting removes any creases with ease and will give the woollen cover a little refresh if needed.

If the cover requires washing, we would recommend a gentle hand wash with some wool friendly soap in luke-warm water. Gently squeeze out any excess water, don’t ring or twist the cover as this could damage the yarns. Leave to air dry flat on a towel and once dry give the blanket a light pressing with a steamy iron on a wool setting.

Take care when filling your hot water bottle, don’t fill with boiling water – let it stand for a few minutes before filling and be careful not to over fill.
